FromScratchFast is the recipe blog of Nicki Sizemore, a New York state-based food stylist, video host and cooking instructor with over a decade of experience in the food and wine industry. With a background in marketing and PR, Nicki also writes and develops marketing and promotional materials for a range of clients.

Four Lakes developed Nicki’s personal website a number of years ago which promoted her recipes, press articles, and cookery classes. As a showcase for all she was doing at that time, Nicki was delighted with the website’s design and functionality.

More recently, Nicki has scaled back on some of her commitments in order to concentrate more on her food blogging activities, under the FromScratchFast banner. Her website needs subsequently evolved, with a requirement for a site that put her recipes front and centre. In addition, Nicki was keen for some ‘under-the-hood’ enhancements to improve the visitor experience, and help her gain a wider audience.

Following a detailed exploration of those requirements, we were delighted that Nicki chose Four Lakes to create her new website, and took advantage of our excellent cloud-hosting service also, offering a significant enhancement in speed and availability. In a project that encompassed a fresh new design, a new means of displaying recipes on the website, a significant data migration and the addition of on-site adverts, the project was far from simple. But the site was delivered on time and to budget, and Nicki is delighted once more.
