Virtual Rides is a new concept in charity bike events. It has been created to address some of the frustrations people experience with charity bike rides at the moment. Example of those problems include limited entry numbers, fixed date & time (which may conflict with their availability) and geographical limitations (it may be too far away to easily attend). A Virtual Ride allows participants to undertake their charity ride over their own choice of route, and at any time between a start and end date.

Four Lakes offered to build and host the website for Virtual Rides, so excited were we by the concept. We also believed that we could bring some technical know-how to the site to make it even more compelling for novice and experienced cyclists alike.

We looked at the Virtual Rides project as a holistic exercise. The website sits at the core, and integrates with all the other marketing channels, such as email marketing and social media. We also worked to create a friendly and accessible design for Virtual Rides, encompassing the website, logo and social media branding.
